Caroline Hammond is of uncommon grace and natural musical lyricism. She casts a wide net over multiple genres and influences such as Afro-Cuban, Blues, Gospel and Australian coffee house folk. A true multi-instrumentalist, she is equally at home behind African percussion or coaxing an aching lament from a Malian Kamale N’goni as she is driving a guitar or a ukulele. Caroline’s music finds grace in the mundane, and beauty in the everyday. Deserted beaches, growing old, rainstorms, sunsets, and the gentle tales of people’s lives – touchstones for us all. Her latest album, ‘The Grace of Gravity’ has a glorious depth, compassion and intimate introspection – a celebration of life, music, and character.
