Freight Train Foxes
Indie Folk duo, Freight Train Foxes are built around the talents of Brisbane singer / songwriters, Pat Kenny and Kobble Creek local Kelsey Berrington. Armed with the sonic influences of Passenger and Stu Larsen, the pair wield their unique brand of suburban acoustic folk, which manages to wound and soothe simultaneously. Emerging from Brisbane’s open mic scene in 2019, the indie-folk duo has released three EPs and amassed over a million streams on Spotify. With captivating performances at Australia’s most iconic music festivals, the duo continues to draw music industry attention. They have been finalists at the Queensland Music Awards for two consecutive years, with their single, ‘Fly to You’ landing them their latest nomination at the 2023 awards ceremony.
“idyllic acoustic guitars, strings and harmonies – a wonderfully charming and intimate collection of folk-pop tunes” – Calen Le Couteur, MiMM on their debut EP.
